Risks
Dexicon is an open protocol, not a company or a service. Nobody runs it, hosts it or holds anyone’s funds. Read this before you trade.
Nobody profits from running it
Dexicon charges no fees and nobody takes a cut. The only fee anywhere is 0.5% on swaps against a liquidity pool, and all of it goes to the users who funded that pool. The contributors and the site’s publisher earn nothing from anyone’s trades.
Experimental software, real money
The Dexicon clients, the Minima, Maxima and Parlons networks and the contracts they use are experimental open-source software. They can contain bugs. Trades use real coins on live networks. Start with small amounts you can afford to lose.
You are in control, and responsible
Your coins stay in your own wallet, under your own keys. Nobody can reverse a transaction, recover a lost seed phrase or restore a lost backup for you. Keep your seed phrase and any pool backup file safe and offline.
Cross-chain swaps
Swaps between Ethereum and Minima use time-locked contracts. If a swap stalls, coins are returned only after its deadline, and only if your node or app is able to run then. Ethereum transactions cost gas, paid to Ethereum, even if a swap is refunded.
Prices and tokens
Prices come from other users and from pools, not from Dexicon. They can move quickly and can differ from other markets. MxUSD is a token on the Minima network. Its value is not guaranteed and it may not always trade at one US dollar. Nothing on this site promises any price, return or yield.
Liquidity pools
Adding liquidity to a pool exposes you to price changes (impermanent loss). A pool needs its owner’s node to run regularly; a pool left unattended can stop trading until it is recovered from its backup.
Not advice
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell anything. Crypto-assets are high risk and may be unregulated where you live. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you.
